Catrike Pocket Coroplast Velomobile V1

Catrike Pocket w/ 26" Extension kit & custom Sram Dual Drive (3-speed) hub x 9 speed Sram x7 and a road triple in front for 81 speeds total put through A Schwalbe Big Apple 26x2.35 balloon tire. Skeleton made from mostly 3/4" PVC tubing. 1/2" would have been easier to work with, lighter and just as strong. Skin is 4mm orange Coroplast (corrugated plastic)

I ended up not using this shell due to the adverse handling affects of the massive rear wheel (the tire makes the final diameter of the 26" tire bigger than a 700c). The trike had too high of a CG and the headtubes were too upright, making the already tip-prone direct steering setup even more twitchy. Also, with our cold midwest winters, the open wheel wells made me feel a bit too exposed. I decided to try a new method to lighten the fairing up, keep the wheels tucked in, add some breathe-ability, some functionality and better access to components for service. This entire fairing added 26lbs to the 34-lb trike for total estimated weight of 60lbs)
